WNS LPG Steam Generator Design

Feature 1: Full corrugated furnace

We have developed this new generation of WNS LPG Steam Generators with a unique corrugated furnace design. Our corrugated furnace generates significant flue gas turbulence in the combustion chamber. The corrugated design greatly increases available radiant heat transfer surface area. This larger surface area ensures full contact between the LPG combustion flame and the furnace walls.

We achieve maximum heat release and high-efficiency thermal conversion. The corrugated furnace design provides large margins for thermal expansion and contraction.

The furnace liner expands and contracts freely during high-temperature operation. It relieves built-up internal thermal stresses. Thermal stress relief prevents stress concentrations and structural cracking of pressure-bearing components. Our corrugated furnace design protects pressure-bearing components from thermal fatigue and permanent deformation. It boosts operational safety and extends the service life of our WNS LPG Steam Boilers.

Feature 2: Large steam space

Generates high-quality, stable steam with sufficient internal heating surface for high thermal efficiency.

The boiler’s “wet back” design creates a large internal water and steam space. It maintains plenty of boiling water for continuous steam production. The bigger steam separation zone cuts water droplets in outgoing steam. The boiler delivers consistent steam quality under varying load conditions.

Feature 3: German hinged large-opening smoke box door

Good heat retention; easy opening for internal inspection, soot removal and routine maintenance.

Yongxing LPG steam generator uses an unattached, bolt-secured German-style large opening smoke box door. It delivers reliable sealing and excellent heat retention. It cuts heat loss during operation. The large access opening opens easily for interior inspection, soot removal and routine maintenance. Operators gain direct access to flue and tube areas. It saves time on daily boiler servicing.

Feature 4: High-efficiency threaded smoke tubes

Optimized groove structure enhances convection heat transfer. Heat transfer coefficient is 1.2× higher than standard plain smoke tubes.

The threaded smoke tubes are manufactured using a precise rolling process. Continuous spiraled grooves form on the inside surface. The optimized groove structure disturbs flue gas flow. This boosts convective heat transfer. The heat transfer coefficient is about 1.2 times higher than standard plain smoke tubes. Plain smoke tubes are widely adopted by many German boiler manufacturers. Many German or German boilers use only plain smoke tubes. They do not apply corrugated furnace liners.

The threaded smoke tube delivers better heat absorption. It cuts fuel consumption and lowers your ongoing operating costs. With proper operation and maintenance, the threaded smoke tube achieves an estimated service life of more than 25 years.

Feature 5: Tail waste heat condenser

Finned ND steel / stainless steel tubes recover flue gas waste heat. Overall boiler efficiency exceeds 98% and prevents low-temperature corrosion.

Yongxing boiler uses finned ND steel and stainless steel tubing to recover waste heat in flue gases. These tubes capture excess heat carried by flue gases. Overall boiler efficiency exceeds 98% percent. The design guards against low temperature corrosion of heat exchanger components. It protects tail heating surfaces and extends service life. It delivers reliable high performance during long continuous operation.

Among these devices, there is one special piece of equipment called a thermal deaerator. Many customers wonder whether they really need to equip a thermal deaerator. Here we provide some application recommendations for your reference.

When Is a Thermal Deaerator Required?

The higher the temperature and pressure in a boiler, the faster it will corrode. This means there is less time for the tubes to be used, and eventually they’ll have to be replaced.

High-temperature and high-pressure operating environments greatly accelerate internal oxidation and corrosion inside the boiler tubes. Long-term corrosion will cause tube thinning, pitting damage, and even affect the overall safety and service life of the entire boiler system.

A thermal deaerator heats up the feedwater to its boiling point to remove both dissolved oxygen (O₂) and carbon dioxide from the feedwater.

Removing these two corrosive gases fundamentally reduces boiler internal corrosion, effectively protects the boiler body and heating tubes, and greatly extends the boiler’s overall service life.

Conditions For Using a Thermal Deaerator

Most customers do not require a thermal deaerator. But if any of the following cases occur, you need to consider adding a deaerator.

  1. Large Boiler Capacity: steam output ≥ 6 t/h steam boiler or hot water boiler with high rated thermal power.
  2. High Pressure / Temperature: high design pressure and high steam temperature (≥1.25 MPa or steam temperature above 194℃), strict water quality requirements.
  3. High Feedwater Temperature: for models like WNS10/15/20, the feedwater temperature is 104℃, which is the typical operating condition matched with thermal deaerator.
  4. Strict Industrial Standards: Food, Pharmaceutical, Chemical Industries Requiring High Purity Of Steam.
  5. High Makeup Water Rate And Excessive Oxygen Content: low condensate recovery rate, large raw water supplement, feedwater oxygen content fails to meet standards.

Conditions Where a Thermal Deaerator Is Not Required

– Small low-pressure boiler: (≤6 t/h, working pressure ≤1.0 MPa) with mild corrosion risk under low operating temperature.

– Qualified softened water system: small projects where softened water alone can meet water quality standards.

– Alternative deoxygenation method: qualified chemical deoxygenation or membrane deoxygenation adopted.

Reference standard: GB/T 1576 Industrial Boiler Water Quality. A thermal deaerator shall be equipped when feedwater oxygen content needs to be controlled within limits and thermal conditions are satisfied.
